WELLINGTON, July 16 — After more than seven decades without review, the Aboriginal Peoples Act 1954 (Act 134) is now being amended, drawing inspiration from the empowerment model of the Māori community in New Zealand, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

PUTRAJAYA, July 1 — Draft amendments the Aboriginal Peoples Act 1954 (Act 134), which involves matters of land ownership among the Orang Asli community, is in the final stages, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 — The government is conducting a review of the Aboriginal Peoples Act 1954 (Act 134) which, among others, involve registering marriage and land ownership of the Orang Asli community.

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 23 — The Aboriginal Peoples Act 1954 (Act 134) will be amended by improving legal aspects involving land ownership as well as the registration of marriages and the birth of Orang Asli children, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
